Happy New Year! Our efforts have been elevated to the next level. Over 19 Months ago we started Paigey's Heart Foundation to "Give Back" in Paige's name. I'm happy to say we have helped our first family, and it feels great and of course we couldnt have done this without your help. Please see the "Giving Back" tab on the home Page. Read about Raegan Milan and her incredible story of life. Thank you for your continued generosity to Paigey's Heart Foundation.

Two years back home. Each day seems to be just as difficult as the last and we've learned over the past 2 years that nothing in this life is ours. Everything on this earth belongs to God, even our Children. Thank you for remembering Paige. Keep Paige and all Children who leave this world too soon, in your hearts and prayers. Make every moment you have count and give thanks. God Bless.

It's been a quiet and uneventful spring and summer. Kids did all the sports they normally do and we've all taken a few trips out of town to try and relax. Trish and I still hash it out with our attorneys and the North Carolina legal system. Its a tough system and we've been very discouraged to date with the politics and seemingly in-human position these folks take. This process has put us into a place that sort of paralyzes our ability to hold any fundraising events. If you'd like to help, please let us know. Thank you to all of you who keep Paige and her family in your prayers. Please sign the guest book, send emails, we'd love to hear from you.
26 March 2007 (HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!)
The Stoskus & Johnson family got together to celebrate Lauren's 15th Birthday. If you'd like to email her you can at lilbit@paigeysheart.org. That day we also went to see Paige. We have a new bench to sit on while visiting Paige. It will be up soon. Trish and I are still working with our Lawyers in NC, its a long and very frustrating process. Look for another "Night Out" soon. As always, if you have any ideas or comments please give me a shout. Thank you Kay Turley (Paige's Grandmother) for making "Paige's Place" even more beautiful.

This is a special entry and special THANK YOU to Kelly Schofield. Kelly turned 18 on the 5th of January. Happy Belated Birthday Kelly! Kelly was a friend of Paige's and is a friend to the Johnson/Stoskus Family. Kelly had a birthday party to celebrate 18, as most young girls do...however....her's was just alittle different. Kelly asked that her friends not bring presents to the party, but instead, bring the money that would have been spent on gifts so she could donate the money in memory of her friend Paige, to Paigey's Heart Foundation. Kelly raised $150. God Bless you Kelly and your friends for remembering Paige and extending your love for her through this selfless act of kindness.

2 December 2006

As the one year anniversary of Paige's return to heaven is upon us, we thank all of you who have kept Paige's soul and her family, in your thoughts and prayers. Today like every day, we miss our Paige very much. Trish, Dave, Allison, Lauren, Dylan, Christopher, Katelyn and myself spent some precious time with our Daughter and Sister. We decorated "Paige's Place" with some items that were left over the last year and we also put a little Christmas Tree up with a few ornaments. We've left room for others to leave an ornament if you would like. There is a candle that will stay lighted until it burns out. If you should see the candle not lit, please re-light. Thank you again. Please remember Paigey's Heart Foundation when giving this season. God Bless.

Matt (and all the Johnson's and Stoskus')

It has been along time since our last update. Trish and I have been busy with "life" which seems to get in the way of "love". We are working many issues out with our new legal team in NC. Kids are busy with school and sports, etc. I will be retiring from the Navy after 20 years in January and so on and so on. We should be rescheduling the "Dinner Out" for a night in January 2007. Also the Golf Tournament is still a go for April, so get ready..........Happy Thanksgiving to all from Paige's Family.
21 August 2006
Trish and I met with Dan a reporter for the news paper Leesburg Today. He will be writing a story on the gift of life Paige gave to others. This article will be out by weeks end or no later than next week.
Trish and I also met with Bobby the manager of Kirkpatrick’s Irish Pub in Ashburn. We will be planning an event for folks to come and enjoy food and hopefully live music. We will be pre-selling tickets for admission at $10. Your purchase of food and drink will be at menu prices. Kirkpatrick's will dontate 10 - 20% of the total sales this night to Paigey's Heart Foundation. So get ready for our first real money making event for PHF. Specific time and date will be determined soon, but plan on a Thursday night event in October.

28 July 2006 (Kenny Chesney Concert)
This long-awaited event was a blast. More than 60 of Paige’s family and friends showed up at the "Knolls House" to meet the bus that would carry them the Kenny Chesney concert at Nissan Pavilion. Thank you to Erin Knoll for creating an awesome tribute T-shirt for everyone to wear at the concert. On the front of the shirt: "The only thing that gives me hope is I know, I'll see you again someday - Kenny Chesney. The back is a picture of Paige and “In loving memory” with dates and the PHF web address. I was in attendance taking video and still pictures to mark the event. (As soon as I can figure out what I'm doing creating web pages, everything we do for PHF will be available to view.) David, Trish, Kay, Lauren, Katelyn and Dylan of course didn’t miss this big occasion. Chris is having a tough time with even the smallest things when it comes to his sister, but was with everyone this day in spirit. Thank you to all who made their way to this concert. Paige loved Kenny and we thought it fitting to try and get Trish back stage to meet him. Again, thank you to Erin and Shawn Colin and WMZQ for making this dream come true for Trish. Lauren stayed the night with Trish, so when I went to collect her the next day, the first thing Trish said to me was (not hi or hello) but, "He's so HOT" Enjoy the pictures.

July 20, 2006 (Paige's 19th Birthday)
Thank You Coach Brandi for this wonderful tribute on Paige's Birthday.

20 July 2006 (Our Day)
Trish, Dave, Dylan, Katelyn, Lauren and Christopher were all in Mrytle Beach watching Dylan and his baseball team beat-up on the competition. I spoke with them many times this day over the phone. We wished that we could have all be together on this day....we were in spirit and most important with Paige in our hearts and on our minds. I spent the day tracing some steps Trish and I used to take many years ago. I started by placing 19 "pink" ballons and 1 "Happy Birthday Paige" ballon where Paige is today. I call it "Paige's Place" now. I drove to Sibley Memorial Hospital in DC immediately following. "Where it all began" (sort of).

The trip was peaceful. I hadn't remembered that until this moment. Following Sibley I drove down 495 to Paige's Grandmothers house (Trish's Mom) where Paige spent lots of time. Back roads from there took me to Springfield Square Apartments where Paige's first year was spent. Many more memories tracing those steps. Allison and I went back to "Paige's Place" to release those 19 ballons at the exact moment she was born (547pm). Two ballons got stuck in the trees just like the day those white ballons got stuck on 13 December 2005.
Thank you to all who remebered Paige on her "Heavenly" 19th Birthday. Someone was quoted as saying, "there were no pink flowers left in Northern Virginia today." This was a tough day for so many people...............thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

Next picture was taken by Helen Causin. "Paige's Place" in the afternoon. Thanks Helen

Our first planning meeting for the golf tournament went very well. We've decided that an August /September date would be too lofty of a goal a this point. We will be planning a spring event April/May 2007 time frame.
Rich Wilson a division manager from FireSide Hearth & Home (www.firesideusa.com) graciously offered his services to plan and his company to sponsor this awesome event. We'd like to thank FireSide Hearth & Home, Rich Wilson and his wife for taking on such a project.
